Just like the meaning of her name Leela, play and creativity are important in the exploration of all things art. She believes that the painting process is more of a spiritual journey that leads enlightenment and self-reflection. Leela received a Bachelors degree from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and a Masters degree of Supervision and Leadership in the Visual Arts from Bank Street College and School of Visual Art School in New York City.
